Terms of Use

This English version is a convenience translation. The German version is legally binding: Nutzungsbedingungen (AGB).

In short: the check is free, converting needs a pass. You buy passes from Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Review the result before you hand it in – we cannot guarantee an error-free conversion. Do not share your key.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the Zotero plugin CiteMove, the website citemove.com, the purchase of passes and the “We do it for you” service. The provider is RAVIA OPS LIMITED, Howth Castle, Deer Park Hotel, Howth, Dublin, D13 T8K1, Ireland, trading as CiteMove (“we”; see the imprint). When you buy a pass, your contracting party is Lemon Squeezy (section 4).

2. The service

CiteMove is a plugin for Zotero 7 or newer. It reads a Word file (.docx) containing Citavi citations, matches the sources against your Zotero library and writes a new file with Zotero citations next to your original. The original is not modified. Processing happens on your computer; only your licence key is transmitted to Lemon Squeezy for verification (privacy policy).

Free of charge: downloading, installing, checking a document and the report. Converting requires a valid pass.

3. Passes

The passes are sold by Lemon Squeezy as the seller (section 4); their prices include VAT. A computer is one Zotero installation on which your key is activated. You can move the pass to another computer (Settings → Remove pass). The plugin needs an internet connection once to activate; afterwards it checks the pass online before every conversion, and without a connection the last check counts for 14 days.

4. Purchase through Lemon Squeezy

Passes are sold by Lemon Squeezy (Link, LLC, 222 Main Street, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, USA) as the merchant of record. Purchase, payment and invoice are governed by the Lemon Squeezy terms; Lemon Squeezy issues the invoice and remits VAT. You receive the licence key by e-mail after payment. We help you directly with any question about your purchase.

5. Term and cancellation

The Thesis Pass ends 60 days after purchase; no cancellation is needed. You can cancel the Annual Pass any time for the end of the current year: via the link in your Lemon Squeezy order e-mail or by e-mail to us. After a pass ends the plugin keeps working; only converting requires a new pass. Files you converted remain yours.

6. Licence key and right of use

With a pass you receive a simple, non-transferable right to use CiteMove on the agreed number of computers for the term. The key is personal: do not pass it on, publish or sell it. Keys that were shared or published may be blocked. You may not circumvent the pass check or redistribute modified versions of the plugin. The included open-source components (EN2Zotero, MIT licence) remain under their own licence; the licence text ships with the plugin.

7. Your part

Run the free check before you buy. Keep your original and back up your work. Review the result in Word before you hand it in.

8. Warranty and liability

CiteMove transfers the data Citavi stored in your document. We cannot guarantee that every citation is converted or that the result is free of errors. Whatever cannot be converted stays as text and is commented in Word; the report shows this before converting. You are responsible for the correctness and completeness of your citations and for your institution's citation rules. Please review the result.

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for damage from injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual duties (duties whose fulfilment makes the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may rely), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act and your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.

9. Refund

If CiteMove technically cannot convert your document and we cannot fix it within 7 days, you get your money back. The free check shows you beforehand what will work. After a successful conversion there is no refund. Procedure and details: Refunds. Your statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer remains unaffected.

10. “We do it for you”

This service is provided by RAVIA OPS LIMITED itself; it does not run through Lemon Squeezy. You send us your document by e-mail; we check it first and tell you whether it can be converted. If it cannot, there is no charge. Otherwise you receive an invoice by e-mail from RAVIA OPS LIMITED and pay by bank transfer before delivery; the bank details are on the invoice. Within 48 hours after both the file and the payment have reached us, we convert the document, check unclear sources by hand and send you the new file by e-mail. The price is 79 € per document (final price, no VAT charged) for files with up to 300 citations; for larger files we send you a quote. We use your document only for the order and delete it 7 days after delivery. Section 8 applies accordingly: please review the result here too.

11. Changes

We may change these terms for the future, for example for new features or changed laws. For a running pass the version in force at the time of purchase applies, unless the change is to your advantage. The version published on this page applies.

12. Final provisions

Irish law applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in remain unaffected. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Should one provision be invalid, the others remain in force.

CiteMove is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Citavi or Zotero. Citavi is a trademark of Swiss Academic Software GmbH. Zotero is a trademark of the Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Microsoft Word is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
